These are just some of the people and businesses that have helped my musical career take flight...plus some other artist links I think deserve to be heard by many! Look for this list to keep growing…
Lana credits her music director, song-writing partner, producer, fellow musician and dear friend Chris Iannetti as being an integral part in her music career success. "He's been with me every step of the way and he has knack for balancing my creativity. I'm very blessed that he's stuck by me. I call him my music guru!"
Chris is an accomplished guitar player who has shared the stage with the likes of Dave Carroll, Bruce Guthro, Mike Cowie, Jamie Sparks, Gary Beals and many more. In addition to his work as a full time performing musician, he also keeps busy running his recording studio, Iannetti Recording. In his studio he has worked with a large number of artists such as, Jordan Croucher, Choclair, Dutch Robinson, Andrea Somers, etc. He has produced records for many Hip Hop, Pop, Rock and R&B artists including Jamie Sparks Juno nominated ""Unforgettable"" and ECMA award winning recordings such as Jamie 's " Gonna Get Down" and Kicksta Music Group's "Scotia Mix Volume One". Chris is presently the lead guitar player for Dave Carroll's band (well known for his "United Breaks Guitar" songs)
Chris is also Lana's music director, lead guitar player and he has co-written and produced Lana's last two CD's (Tired of Talkin' and Hovering Above). He continues to work with Lana in the same capacity for her upcoming CD project to be entittled " Non-Fiction", as co-writer, producer and music director.
Created the new and improved www.lanagrant.com! Thanks to the Headspace team for all your enthusiasm and energy towards my web project (with a special thanks to Ricky, who really made the design idea come alive!). It's much appreciated. Check out some of the other amazing sites they have built!
He's a super talented photographer and Graphic Designer. Darren has taken all the latest shots for my upcoming CD Non-Fiction and is designing my CD and related marketing /promo material. His ability to catch emotion in photos and see beyond the exterior of the subject is an extreme gift. Plus he too shares a love of music...especially for Dave Matthews! He also loves guitars so much he named his son "Taylor", and at less than a year old that child already has his own mini guitar!
Make-up artist...aka "miracle worker"! Nadine has worked with me on not only my recent promotional photos, but also for my last CD Hovering Above promo photos along with a number of live performance venues.
Sister and my PR expert...she is the Director of Communications for NS Home Builders Association, a part-time Public Relations professor at Mount St. Vincent University and also owns her own Public Relations company called Anchor Communications. She is always there for me both in my music and personal life. Sherry also shares my enthusiasm for charitable work and is currently training for her second Disneyworld marathon in support of the Arthritis Society "Joints in Motion". Thanks for all your help little sis...I'm so very proud of you☺
Scott Ferguson is the owner-operator of Ferguson Music Productions Inc. Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Scott is a very talented Recording Producer/ Engineer, as well as a phenomenal freelance drummer and percussionist. He has played and toured with huge Maritime stars, such as the Rankins, Lenny Gallant, Dave Carroll, etc. Within his studio, Scott has worked as either a producer or engineer with just as many impressive artists, from Hal Bruce, Lenny Gallant, Charlie A'Court to a listing that spans at least five pages on his studio's web-site! I am lucky enough to not only have Scott record my up-coming "Non-Fiction" CD's bed tracks, but he also graces this CD with his drums. Scott also mastered my Hovering Above CD.
It's a great resource for Nova Scotia musicians! Many links and support services are available to artists from funding to launching new music works. It also hosts an annual Nova Scotia Music Week Festival and conference (along with an award show element) every fall. This event is designed to give artists from the Nova Scotia region some much-deserved attention, along with an opportunity to learn, grown and promote their music business and talents.
An association that annually highlights and awards music artists from the Atlantic Canadian region.
It's a private non-profit organisation. FACTOR is dedicated to providing assistance toward the growth and development of the Canadian independent recording industry.
With offices located in Atlantic Canada's largest metropolitan area, Halifax, Nova Scotia, it is officially Local 571 of the American Federation of Musicians of the United States and Canada; the largest organisation of it's kind in the world. In 1996, Indie Pool was launched to create a bridge between artists and retailers, creating an organized and efficient delivery and tracking service between local artists and local retailers. Within two years and with the help of broad retailer and artists support, Indie Pool was managing thousands of Canadian CD's to hundred of retailers.
Over the years, Indie Pool added new services, largely based on their customer suggestions and needs, including CD manufacturing, e-commerce, web-site, graphic design and digital distribution, providing its customers with access to Puretracks, iTunes, Napster and approximately 40 other digital music retailers. With over a decade of dedication to Canada's independent music scene, Indie Pool has grown into Canada's largest supplier of independent music services and is the only company of its kind. Lana has used their services since the launch of her very first CD and they have been terrific to work with!
I've been very blessed with a family who always believed in me and encouraged me in my music (and life). They continue to stand by me and for that I will always be grateful. As I grew, I developed my own friends and extended family, who also motivated me in my music goals and dreams. Some pushed me and gave me confidence in my gift, even when I had doubts. Many have helped and been involved in my music on many levels, from the business side to the fan supporting side. Seeing both family and friends lending me their love and faith as I continue my journey is something I cherish and drawn strength from. Thank you from the bottom of my soul. I hope to continue to make you proud.
Plus here are some other sites I think you will find some inspiration from:

In searching the web for past info on Angela, sadly there is little left available for review. Her web-site is no longer active and therefore many will miss the opportunity to view her gift of photography. She had a wonderful spirit and was so friendly and easy to be around. I especially loved her sassy English accent! I just want to send it out to the universe that you and your talents are deeply missed. You have the best view now and I hope they have cameras up there for you to capture them!
